Comments: The first direct selling company to fully embrace the spirit of wine country living, The company is dedicated to providing rewarding opportunities in the wine industry and promote the time-honored tradition of spending quality time at home with family and friends.

Wine Shop At Home was created in 1995 by John and Melissa Lynch. It came from their love of wine and the joy that they had sharing their wine with family and friends. They created a national wine retail company and a wine club that focused on handcrafted wine that were created by local winemakers.

In 1999 1-800WineShop held it’s first Harvest Party in Napa as a way for customers to experience the wine country lifestyle first-hand. Since then their events have become legendary. Customers began to ask for more local events, including in-home wine tastings.

In early 2004 the company officially launched it’s direct sales division, WineShop At Home to provide a new generation of customers the opportunity to discover great wines effortlessly and help others realize their dream of building their own successful business in the wine industry. The Wine Shop At Home consultants supply to thousands of customers nationwide.

The Wine Shop At Home also provides hostess gifts at no charge to the consultant. The only thing the consultant has to pay for is the intitial $135 for the start up kit that contains all of the supplies you will need to get started. As your business takes off you will be able to purchase any other needed items through the Wine Shop At Home at a discounted price.

Advantages: In the startup phase with lots of room to grow for new distributors. Wine is one of the hotter businesses right now and it has a wide range of interest. They have multiple avenues to create revenue – in home wine tasting, corporate and personal gifts, custom labeled wines and wine clubs – all boutique wines.

Disadvantages: Will not allow to non married partners to be a partnership in a single business. Currently in limited locations.

Compensation Plan:
The company offers it’s consultants the following benefits: freedom and flexibility, 15-29% commission on personal sales and 3-5% on organizational sales. There are monthly cash bonuses, Wine Club membership commissions, no inventory to buy, stock or carry. The consultant gets their own website, there are trips to wine country destinations throughout the world, direct shipping to customers, advancement opportunities and low start up cost.

This consultant position can be done full or part time, it depends on the needs and wants of the consultant. You are not limited to only one income opportunity, there is the wine tasting parties, creating a downline, residual income from the wine club membership, corporate gifts and an annual dream vacation incentive.

Health Insurance:
The Wine Shop At Home offers something else to their consultants that most other companies do not and that is that they do offer a health and life insurance program with optional participation.
